In the world of civil works construction, the efficient management of equipment and machinery is crucial. Tecozam, one of Spain’s leading subcontractors in this sector, has identified the need to improve the traceability and control of its assets. With this vision, they have teamed up with AIR Institute to create TRAZALME 4.0, a project that promises to revolutionize inventory management using advanced technologies.

Project objective

The main objective of TRAZALME 4.0 is to reduce the time spent on inventorying new equipment, minimize errors and enable detailed tracking of machinery use and operation. By achieving this, it is expected to optimize resources and improve operational efficiency in the field of civil engineering.

Technology used

AIR Institute, a recognized member of the Red de Centros Tecnológicos de Castilla y León (NODDO), has provided its expertise in the implementation of disruptive technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and neural networks. These technologies allow the creation of an intelligent platform that ingests data from IoT devices and passive RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technologies.

The explainable AI algorithms developed for TRAZALME 4.0 allow the control of defective batches and machinery failures, thus optimizing the control and diagnosis of equipment quality. In addition, explainable Bayesian neural network models have been implemented to improve the decision making process and optimize predictions.

An outstanding project

TRAZALME 4.0 is not only an innovative project for its use of advanced technologies, but also for its potential impact on the construction industry. The platform has already completed its first version, allowing Tecozam professionals to start labeling tests and start operating with the system. This project has been funded by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service through the Red.es Program and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), underlining its importance and relevance in the field of technological research and development.

Environmental commitment

In addition to its focus on efficiency and technological innovation, TRAZALME 4.0 also demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. By optimizing the use and management of machinery, the project contributes to the reduction of resource waste and the extension of equipment life. This approach not only benefits companies in terms of cost and efficiency, but also supports a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future.

TRAZALME 4.0 is a clear example of how collaboration between companies and technological institutions can lead to innovative and sustainable solutions, with a positive impact on industry and the environment.
