href=\"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/technological-centers\/cesefor\/\">Cesefor<\/a> participates, focuses on maximizing the competitiveness of poplar cultivation through the evaluation of new clones, the generation of innovative tools for the evaluation of production and the optimization of the quality of its wood for the creation of cutting-edge technological products.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Deploying innovation in poplar cultivation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The BIOPOPTECH operational group, focused on poplar cultivation and the cascading use of its wood, proposes a novel initiative for the wood industry, making this tree the protagonist in the development of sustainable technological products with high added value.<\/p>\n\n<p>The heart of GO BIOPOPTECH beats to the rhythm of four fundamental objectives.\nFrom understanding clonal influences to integrating information and communication technologies (ICT) for optimizing wood utilization, each step is designed to improve the economic performance and sustainability of poplar cultivation. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex nature<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>GO BIOPOPTECH&#8217;s actions are testimony to an innovative approach.\nIt deploys a series of actions that aim to transform the poplar sector, from the determination of optimal clones based on environmental, productive and health characteristics to the development of advanced ICT tools for the assignment of technological properties of wood that are implemented on mobile platforms and web applications to facilitate the selection of the ideal clone by owners. <\/p>\n\n<p>At the same time, the project promotes the certification of sustainable forest management with the participation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pefc.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">PEFC Spain<\/a> and the development of the compensation system &#8220;Thanks to the Poplar&#8221;, a French initiative implemented in Spain by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aeim.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Spanish Association of Wood Trade and Industry (AEIM).<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p>This project represents the union between technology, innovation and sustainability.\nThrough the certification of sustainable forest management and the promotion of responsible plantations, it seeks economic benefit and environmental balance. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Cesefor promotes efficiency and collaborative innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Cesefor, as an outstanding technology center, brings to the GO BIOPOPTECH project its extensive experience and capabilities in forestry innovation, excelling in the application of advanced and sustainable technologies.\nCesefor&#8217;s participation ensures synergy between cutting-edge research and practical application, boosting efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness of the timber sector, and setting a new standard in forest management and poplar wood harvesting. <\/p>\n\n<p>GO BIOPOPTECH is a collaborative effort that integrates a wide range of key actors in the value chain, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/cesefor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">CESEFOR Foundation<\/a>, which coordinates the project; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bosquesyrios.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Bosques y R\u00edos<\/a>, a company specialized in poplar management and cultivar research and development; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.garnica.one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Garnica<\/a>, a company specialized in poplar plywood manufacturing; <a href=\"https:\/\/tabsal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Tabsal<\/a>, specialized in LSL board manufacturing; F\u00f6ra and Madera+, in the area of forest product innovation; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aefcon.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">AEFCON<\/a>, (Spanish Association of Plywood Manufacturers) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pefc.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">PEFC<\/a> forest certification organization.<\/p>\n\n<p>Other subcontractors include the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uva.es\/export\/sites\/uva\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">University of Valladolid<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usc.gal\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">University of Santiago de Compostela<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ugr.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">University of Granada<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fafcyle.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">FAFCYLE <\/a>(Federation of Forestry Associations of Castilla y Le\u00f3n), and collaborating entities such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jcyl.es\/web\/jcyl\/Portada\/es\/Home\/1246890364336\/_\/_\/_\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Regional Government of Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navarra.es\/es\/inicio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Government of Navarra<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Through joint research, the project has established 15 productive plots to study the main clones planted in our country, with the aim of establishing the productivity levels and technological properties of the wood of the different poplar cultivars in relation to the environmental conditions of cultivation.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Green commitment, promising future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>GO BIOPOPTECH promotes sustainable practices and advanced technologies in poplar cultivation and is leading the way to a future where innovation and the environment go hand in hand.<\/p>\n\n<p>With each action and result, GO BIOPOPTECH is demonstrating that it is possible to unite cutting-edge technology with care for our environment, showing the technological products with high added value, seeks the development of the value chain associated with the planting and use of poplar trees.\nThe operational group GO-BIOPOPTECH has received a grant of 596,871.75 \u20ac for its innovation project.\nThe amount of the project is 100% co-financed with funds from the European Recovery Instrument (EU Next Generation), as established in Royal Decree
