chain, from agricultural production to the food industry.\nInnovating and digitizing processes for an efficient and sustainable food chain. <\/h3>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The agri-food sector is strategic for Castilla y Le\u00f3n.\nWith numerous synergies with other sectors (gastronomy, tourism, etc.) and a strong link with the rural world.\nAccording to data from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mapa.gob.es\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food<\/a>, it represents 7.3% of the country&#8217;s agri-food gross value added and generates 147,792 jobs throughout the region.  <\/p>\n\n<p>At NODDO we understand the agri-food sector as a fundamental pillar and one of our main <a href=\"http:\/\/noddo.es\/disciplina-tecnica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">technical disciplines<\/a>.\nThe transversality of the Network of Centers allows NODDO to support innovation along the entire chain, from the field to the industry and from the industry to the table, in an efficient and sustainable food chain. <\/p>\n\n<p>We integrate innovation and development from the origin with sustainable and precision agriculture, to the development of new industrial processes, functional foods and alternative nutritional sources.\nApplying available technology for an efficient and sustainable food chain. <\/p>\n\n<p>This knowledge and practical approach of our technology centers has allowed us to develop solutions such as:<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Optimization of the NPK granular fertilizer manufacturing process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sulfur valorization as a high-yield fertilizer for Repsol.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The reduction of sugars in cookie dough (LESSugar) for glycemic index control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/itcl.es\/caso-de-exito\/la-flor-burgalesa-control-de-produccion-calidad-y-mantenimiento\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">BItal<\/a> system for production, quality and maintenance control in Flor Burgalesa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:64px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Digital applications in the food industry<\/h4>\n\n<p>As a sample, this coming January 26 the network will present a showroom of <a href=\"https:\/\/itcl.es\/jornadas-centratec\/aplicaciones-digitales-en-la-industria-alimentaria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">digital applications in the food industry<\/a>.\nShowing examples of applied and tangible solutions for digital transformation of food industrial SMEs in the region.\nIn the framework of the Centr@tec program supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/empresas.jcyl.es\/web\/jcyl\/Empresas\/es\/Plantilla100Detalle\/1277998908184\/Evento\/1285234066955\/Comunicacion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Institute
