{"id":10712,"date":"2023-06-15T14:05:24","date_gmt":"2023-06-15T12:05:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/noddo.es\/?p=10712"},"modified":"2024-09-25T16:51:50","modified_gmt":"2024-09-25T14:51:50","slug":"cartif-the-promotion-of-technological-innovation-through-research-development-and-dissemination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/cartif-the-promotion-of-technological-innovation-through-research-development-and-dissemination\/","title":{"rendered":"CARTIF, the promotion of technological innovation through research development and dissemination"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CARTIF is an applied research technology center, a private, non-profit foundation that emerged from the University of Valladolid almost 30 years ago.\nIts mission is to offer innovative solutions to companies to improve their processes, systems and products, improving their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities. <\/h3>\n\n<p>Its services include the development of R&amp;D&amp;I projects financed directly by companies or through public funds, and advice to public administrations in the planning and development of innovative projects with high economic return.<\/p>\n\n<p>CARTIF is a multidisciplinary center that develops its activity in multiple areas of knowledge focused on almost all economic sectors: energy, food, industry, construction and infrastructure, health and environment, with technological lines that respond to the main challenges in each of them, such as smart grids, smart cities, energy efficiency, heritage, quality of life, circular economy, natural resources and biotechnology.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:52px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/noddo.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/3.-Cual-es-el-reto-de-CARTIF.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:52px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The center, located in the Boecillo Technology Park (Valladolid), has laboratories that provide analysis services to the center itself and externally through a wide range of tests in areas such as energy, agri-food, materials manufacturing or 3D digitalization.\nIt has laboratories such as those for solid biofuels and materials, which have achieved accreditation under strict quality systems.\nIts mission is to be an international benchmark in applied research, technological development and innovation of processes, products and systems, characterized by offering comprehensive multidisciplinary solutions that achieve a high impact due to its capacity for anticipation and its systematic interaction with society, the business community and universities.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:52px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/noddo.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/8.&#xBF;Por-que-es-importante-invertir-en-IDi.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n<div style=\"height:52px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>CARTIF is committed to the values of excellence, seeking the highest quality in all the activities carried out in order to be perceived as a benchmark both by the organization itself and by the rest of society; and commitment to regional development, promoting the sustainable development of the Region in order to improve the quality of life and increase its competitive capacity.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:52px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>In terms of sectors, it works in 3 major fields of action that encompass multiple areas of work:<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Industrial and Digital Systems<\/em><\/h5>\n\n<p>From the SID division we work in the development of solutions for industry, industry 4.0, improvement of natural and cultural heritage, as well as research in the improvement of infrastructures and the welfare and health of people.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Agrifood and Processes<\/h5>\n\n<p>From the PA division they do research on natural resources and climate, work on projects related to food, circular economy and the field of biotechnology and sustainable chemistry.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Energies<\/h5>\n\n<p>Working on energy and climate policies, energy efficiency and energy systems, as well as promoting the creation of Smart cities and Smart grids.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jet-engine-section jet-section wp-block-jet-engine-section jet-section--layout-fullwidth\"><div class=\"jet-section__content\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Interview with Mr. Jos\u00e9 R. collaborative and technological service projects in multiple scientific disciplines.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><em>In which technical disciplines or sectors are you experts?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Industrial solutions, chemical processes, bioeconomy and artificial intelligence for sectors such as circular economy, biotechnology, food, industry, energy and heritage.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><em>What would you say to companies in Castilla y Le\u00f3n?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Continuous innovation is essential to be competitive and technology centers are the most appropriate agents to plan and support improvement initiatives, both in processes and products, based on the main enabling technologies.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><em>What is the main barrier to achieving digital transformation?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>There is not just one, the main ones are: company culture, training and cost.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong><em>Why is it important to invest in R&amp;D&amp;I?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>To improve competitiveness and productivity, and adapt to changes in the environment.\nIt is the guarantee of survival.\nIn Spain it is almost free
