On World Health Day, technological innovation is positioned as a key axis for transforming healthcare systems and improving people’s quality of life. Technology centers play a key role in this progress, developing solutions that integrate artificial intelligence, biomedical data analysis and digital health. <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Today, more than ever, science and technology are becoming essential tools to address global health challenges. On this day, we want to highlight the commitment of technology centers that, through cutting-edge projects, contribute to the advancement of public health, personalized medicine and disease prevention. <\/p>\n\n

Technology applied to health: outstanding projects from Castile and Leon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

From the innovation ecosystem of Castilla y Le\u00f3n, technology centers develop high-impact projects, promoting solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, biomedical data analysis, digital health and preventive medicine. Below, we highlight some of them: <\/p>\n\n

BioTeCare | Innovation in digital health and biotechnology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

AIR Institute<\/a> and ITCL<\/a><\/p>\n\n

The BioTeCare project seeks to position Castilla y Le\u00f3n as an international benchmark in digital health, promoting innovative medical care and exemplary biomedical research, providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic solutions, within the highest ethical and regulatory standards.<\/p>\n\n

Its approach is based on the use of artificial intelligence and deep learning to develop advanced diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. With a strong ethical and regulatory commitment, this project promotes cutting-edge medical care and biomedical research excellence. <\/p>\n\n

The consortium is led by ITCL<\/a>, with the participation of the AIR Institute<\/a>, together with five leading companies located in the region: Biomar Microbial Technologies, Universidad Isabel I, Telecyl S.A. (Madison MK), Global Start Dynamics, and Syltec.<\/p>\n\n

The project contributes significantly to the thematic priorities of the RIS3 of Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/a>, addressing a key area such as data technologies in the socio-health sector. <\/p>\n\n

PREVENT Childhood obesity cancer prevention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

ITCL<\/a><\/p>\n\n

The European PREVENT project aims to reduce the risk of cancer in adulthood by improving weight control interventions in childhood and adolescence.<\/p>\n\n

PREVENT applies a series of implementation research actions in the following directions:<\/p>\n\n

– Identifies barriers to current interventions and policies that prevent them from scaling up to different geographic, socioeconomic and cultural settings.<\/p>\n\n

– It presents new multi-stakeholder interventions along with new user participation strategies to address the current situation.<\/p>\n\n

The PREVENT project targets different types of users (e.g. students, family members, educators, policy makers) and the interventions carried out are adapted to specific implementation sites (classroom, lunchroom, sports fields, laboratories, out-of-school).<\/p>\n\n

AI4HOPE IA for palliative care in dementia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The AI4HOPE project<\/a> develops trusted AI-based digital solutions for dementia patient-centered palliative care planning.<\/p>\n\n

The goal is to integrate AI-assisted decision-making tools with multisensory technologies for pain management and emotional regulation, thus improving the quality of life of patients and caregivers.<\/p>\n\n
