Pilots in Europe with prominent cases in Spain show tangible benefits for patients and professionals. <\/p>\n\n<p>Healthcare needs technology that really adds up, such as freeing up clinical time, increasing safety and bringing care closer to each patient. HosmartAI takes that step by integrating AI and robotics into the hospital&#8217;s day-to-day operations with an open platform that coexists with existing systems and measures their real impact. With pilots in Europe and the participation of Spanish centers such as <a href=\"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/technological-centers\/itcl\/\" data-type=\"centros-tecnologicos\" data-id=\"1879\">ITCL<\/a>, the project demonstrates tangible benefits for professionals and patients from the outset.  <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Why it matters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>It was born to turn<a href=\"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/areas-of-knowledge\/artificial-intelligence\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"http:\/\/noddo.es\/areas-de-conocimient\/inteligencia-artificial\/\"> AI<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/areas-of-knowledge\/robotics-and-devices-applied-to-health-and-wellness\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"http:\/\/noddo.es\/areas-de-conocimient\/robotica-y-dispositivos-aplicados-a-salud-y-bienestar\/\">robotics<\/a> into everyday allies for doctors and nurses, integrating them frictionlessly with hospital systems and demonstrating with data their value in clinical practice.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>What is HosmartAI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>An open integration platform that connects clinical applications, devices and systems from different vendors and measures the benefits of its implementation (efficiency, quality of care and cost-benefit). The platform is validated with eight large-scale pilots in Europe, covering areas such as cancer, gastrointestinal and thoracic disorders, cardiovascular and neurological diseases, aging\/elderly care and pregnancy. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>How it is achieved<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Modular interoperability to integrate <a href=\"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/areas-of-knowledge\/personalized-medicine\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"http:\/\/noddo.es\/areas-de-conocimient\/medicina-personalizada\/\">clinical data<\/a> (history, medical imaging, monitoring, telecare) with open standards.<\/p>\n\n<p>Intelligent AI (detection, prediction, recommendation) and robotics services for clinical and logistical support.<\/p>\n\n<p>Evaluation and benchmarking with before\/after indicators (waiting times, length of stay, operating room use, adverse events, patient satisfaction) to decide with evidence and scale what works.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Highlighted cases in Spain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/technological-centers\/itcl\/\" data-type=\"centros-tecnologicos\" data-id=\"1879\">ITCL<\/a> points out that, in Spain, the pilots are aimed at achieving real benefits for professionals and patients.<\/p>\n\n<p>Among them are:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Telesurgery in cardiology from Hospital Universitario La Paz (Madrid): complex remote operations with robotic control and AI support, reinforcing safety and precision and expanding access to advanced surgery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus on patient well-being and satisfaction: the project works on indicators of experience and quality of care, not only operational metrics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Radiology scheduler deployed at the university hospital of Li\u00e8ge,<br\/>Belgium for the optimization of radiology appointments and sessions for<br\/>follow-up, treatment and diagnosis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/areas-of-knowledge\/independent-living-services-assistance\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"http:\/\/noddo.es\/areas-de-conocimient\/servicios-para-la-vida-independiente-asistencial\/\">Elderly care<\/a> assistant with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intras.es\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.intras.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Fundaci\u00f3n Intras<\/a> in Valladolid<br\/>for the care and execution of tasks and exercises for the maintenance<br\/>cognitive maintenance of the elderly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>In Spain, the project involves <a href=\"https:\/\/noddo.es\/en\/technological-centers\/itcl\/\" data-type=\"centros-tecnologicos\" data-id=\"1879\">ITCL<\/a>, the Madrid Health Service (SERMAS) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intras.es\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.intras.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">INTRAS Foundation<\/a> (Valladolid). Its focus is on operationalizing AI and robotics in clinical flows (diagnosis, rehabilitation, monitoring) together with healthcare partners and measuring their value with comparable indicators between hospitals. This &#8220;bridge&#8221; between technology and clinical practice accelerates responsible adoption with direct impact on the ward and operating room.  <\/p>\n\n<p>HosmartAI is a European Union Innovation Action under Horizon 2020 (&#8220;AI for the Smart Hospital of the Future&#8221;).
