NODDO and the Technology Centers of Castilla y León promote innovation at the Transfiere 2024 Forum

With a successful participation in the Transfiere 2024 Forum, NODDO together with the Technology Centers of Castilla y León demonstrated their leadership in innovation, marking a before and after in the leading European event for science, technology and innovation, held in Malaga.

In a continued commitment to lead the forefront of technological innovation, the Network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León (NODDO), together with the nine technology centers of Castilla y León, mark a significant presence at the Transfiere 2024 Forum, the leading European event for science, technology and innovation to be held in Malaga from March 20 to 22.

The collaboration with the Junta de Castilla y León and the Instituto para la Competitividad Empresarial (ICE), highlights the strength and diversity of the innovation ecosystem of Castilla y León. Each Technology Center contributed its expertise in crucial areas such as artificial intelligence, environmental sustainability, mobility, forest bioeconomy, cybersecurity, and health, among others.

NODDO’s participation

The association offered a unique platform for knowledge sharing and the promotion of cross-sector collaboration. At the stand promoting Castilla y León, together with the Junta de Castilla y León and the Instituto para la Competitividad Empresarial (ICE), NODDO and the Technology Centers were connecting, innovating and transforming. Visitors were able to explore innovative projects and technological solutions designed to meet the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s society.

Each center brought to the NODDO booth a living testimony of its commitment to excellence and innovative diversity:

  • AIR INSTITUTEAIR INSTITUTE, with highly qualified talent and participation in different national and international projects, develops innovation and research projects in artificial intelligence.
  • CARTIFCARTIF, an applied research technology center, whose mission is to offer innovative solutions to companies to improve their processes, systems and products, improving their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities.
  • CESEFOR contributes to the integral development of the forestry sector by promoting sustainability, innovation and research in all productive areas.
  • The CIDAUT Foundationcarries out scientific research, technological development and innovation activities applied to industry in general and, especially, to the transportation and energy sectors.
  • CETECECETECE’s main lines of action are the promotion of training, research and technological development, and the increase of quality and the improvement of competitiveness.
  • CTME: innovation and technology in environmental sustainability, sustainable materials and industry 4.0. to increase the competitiveness of organizations through a comprehensive approach to R&D&I.
  • ICAMCyL, an innovation facilitator foundation dedicated to promoting the sustainability of raw materials in the European industry network.
  • ITAGRA: from agronomic experimentation to natural resource management, it has established itself as a benchmark in the promotion of efficient and sustainable agricultural practices.
  • ITCLTechnological Institute of Castilla y León, which promotes innovation and competitiveness of companies by applying advanced technologies and carrying out R&D&I projects.

The participation of the centers underlines Castilla y León’s commitment to the promotion of an economy based on knowledge, innovation and technology.

Innovation Ecosystem Panel Highlights

On March 20 in the Innovation Room, the panel on the “Innovation Ecosystem in Castilla y León” was held, moderated by the head of the Office of the Commissioner for Science and Technology of the Junta de Castilla y León and the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE). This debate explored how the region is moving towards a smart specialization strategy with a more participatory and continuous approach, highlighting flagship initiatives and collaboration between the different agents of the R&D&I system.

A meeting of utmost importance for the dialogue on innovation. Leaders such as the head of the office of the Commissioner for Science and Technology of the Junta de Castilla y León, the ICE. Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León, B2SPACE, Cesefor, GMV Innovating Solutions and the SIVI Cluster shared their experiences in driving innovation in various sectors, from aerospace to healthcare. They explored how public-private collaboration strengthens technological progress and sustainable development in the region, stressing the importance of evolving from communication to effective collaboration.

The Transfiere Forum has become the epicenter of innovation thanks to the contribution of national and international innovation ecosystems, and the significant participation of NODDO and the nine technology centers of Castilla y León. This event has highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration, with special emphasis on areas such as artificial intelligence, environmental sustainability, and more, demonstrating the strength of the region’s innovation ecosystem.

This event underlines Castilla y León’s commitment to a knowledge and technology-based economy, and reaffirmed the leadership of NODDO and the technology centers in the national and international innovation landscape.
