On World Creativity and Innovation Day, the technology centers of Castilla y León demonstrate how ideas become an engine of development.

Every April 21st is celebrated the World Creativity and Innovation Day, a day that invites us to reflect on the transformative power of ideas when combined with technology and vision. In this context, the technology centers that are part of NODDO have a lot to say: they lead projects that are examples of innovation, and promote strategic sectors strengthening business competitiveness in Castilla y León.
Creativity is the initial spark, but it is innovation that allows these ideas to materialize into concrete solutions. In Castilla y León, technology centers innovate and develop, creating growth platforms for emerging sectors, collaborating with companies and institutions, and promoting sustainability and digitalization as axes of progress. Examples of this are the following projects;
The Jap! Creative impulse for the audiovisual sector

The El Jap project, with the help of ICECYL and the Junta de Castilla y León, whichmake up the initial board of trustees, was born with a clear purpose: to give a strong boost to the animation and video game sector in the region. With a comprehensive approach divided into four programs -Innovation, Training, Videogame and Digital Animation Accelerator, and Dynamization and Communication-, El Jap! is presented as an ecosystem of creative and technological development.
The project foresees the creation of collaborative laboratories, advisory platforms, workshops, micro-credentials and more than 100 scholarships for students and graduates. In addition, there will be an accelerator aimed at supporting startups and a technology observatory that will facilitate access to financing. As a finishing touch, an annual congress will be organized to position El Jap and its companies as a benchmark for the sector in Spain.
SHAREDH2 Green hydrogen for a sustainable energy future

The SHAREDH2 project proposes a key solution in the context of the energy transition: the use of green hydrogen as a flexible and distributed storage medium in local energy communities (LECs). This proposal seeks not only to reduce dependence on non-renewable sources, but also to foster sustainable economic development in strategic rural areas.
The objective is clear: to validate hydrogen as a viable energy vector to help mitigate climate change, generate new economic opportunities and improve the quality of life in the territory. The project is part of the European program Interreg Sudoe, consolidating a firm commitment to green innovation.
