NODDO presents the solutions available for digitization in the agri-food sector.

On January 26th, the technology centers of Castilla y León showed in a showroom their capacity to provide solutions for agri-food digitization.

Burgos has been the scene of the showroom of “Digital applications in the food industry” day promoted by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of the Junta de Castilla y León, within the Centr@tec program, to facilitate the digitization of small and medium enterprises in the food industry in the community, promoting collaboration between companies and technology centers, providing practical solutions and effective applications.

The showroom was attended by representatives of AIR, CARTIF, CIDAUT, CTME and ITCL to show the catalog of solutions available at NODDO. Representative examples of applications in different parts of the agri-food value chain were presented:

The real-time monitoring of the inside of silos shown by AIR, allows sending data on humidity, temperature, etc. to control the quantity and quality of feed in and, through predictive analysis, plan demands and consumption.

CARTIF terahertz non-ionizing terahertz technology makes it possible to see inside packaged products and detect foreign objects in the same production line.

CIDAUT’s IoT platform for monitoring and control of thermal power generation systems allows tracking of operation, optimization of operating conditions, demand times and predictive modeling of anomalies and maintenance.

CTME’s FIoT platform uses commercial off-the-shelf hardware components to demonstrate a simple, affordable and complete IoT process from capturing multiple sources of information to services for exploitation.

The maintenance (CMMS) and production (MES) management systems shown by ITCL. They are implemented and operational in a food manufacturer, for data capture and generation of production indicators in real time.

José María Vela, Director of the Technological Institute of Castilla y León (ITCL) and president of NODDO, made clear the desire of the Network of Centers to support all those companies that want to start on the road to digitalization. Álvaro Santos, CIO of Campofrío Food Group in Burgos, shared the digitalization tools used in the La Bureba factory in Burgos.

The meeting was also attended by the delegate of the Junta in Burgos, Roberto Sáiz; Virginia Santamaría, Territorial Director of ICE in Burgos, and Eduardo Andrés Martínez, Managing Director of the Association of the Network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León (NODDO).
