In a unique convergence of science, technology and innovation, the Technology Centers of Castilla y León, hand in hand with NODDO, the association of technology centers of Castilla y León, are presenting at the Transfiere 2024 Forum under the banner of “Transformative Innovation”. This concept underlines how the effective transfer of knowledge is driving economic and technological progress, solidifying a robust and dynamic innovation ecosystem.

Housed in the NODDO booth, these nine centers display a range of pioneering technologies and projects that are setting the standard in critical sectors for regional and national development.

Each center brings to the NODDO booth a living testimony of its commitment to excellence and innovative diversity:

  • AIR INSTITUTEAIR INSTITUTE, with highly qualified talent and participation in different national and international projects, develops innovation and research projects in artificial intelligence.
  • CARTIFCARTIF, an applied research technology center, whose mission is to offer innovative solutions to companies to improve their processes, systems and products, improving their competitiveness and creating new business opportunities.
  • CESEFOR contributes to the integral development of the forestry sector by promoting sustainability, innovation and research in all productive areas.
  • The CIDAUT Foundationcarries out scientific research, technological development and innovation activities applied to industry in general and, especially, to the transportation and energy sectors.
  • CETECECETECE’s main lines of action are the promotion of training, research and technological development, and the increase of quality and the improvement of competitiveness.
  • CTME: innovation and technology in environmental sustainability, sustainable materials and industry 4.0. to increase the competitiveness of organizations through a comprehensive approach to R&D&I.
  • ICAMCyL, an innovation facilitator foundation dedicated to promoting the sustainability of raw materials in the European industry network.
  • ITAGRA: from agronomic experimentation to natural resource management, it has established itself as a benchmark in the promotion of efficient and sustainable agricultural practices.
  • ITCLTechnological Institute of Castilla y León, which promotes innovation and competitiveness of companies by applying advanced technologies and carrying out R&D&I projects.

At the heart of Transfiere 2024, the debate on the “Innovation Ecosystem in Castilla y León” promises to be one of the highlights of the event. Scheduled for March 20, from 12.35 to 13.20 pm, in the Innovation Room, this panel moderated by the Commissioner for Science and Technology, will explore how the Smart Specialization Strategy in Castilla y León is evolving with prioritization and participatory processes, seeking more continuous governance, and exploring the Flagship Initiatives with key players in the R&D&I system, and how synergy between the public and private sector is driving an environment conducive to innovation.

  • Office of the Commissioner for Science and Technology, the central coordinating body for R&D&I policies and the Digital Agenda in the Community of Castilla y León, which will lead the conversation towards an innovative future for Castilla y León.
  • B2SPACE in Aerospace: Launching regional ambitions to new heights. A company that, since its founding in 2016 in the UK and subsequent expansion to Spain, has specialized in high altitude operations. B2Space presents itself as a European leader in this sector and highlights its technological capabilities in the realization of multiple flights. Its main contribution is to offer flexible, reliable and low-cost access to low-Earth orbit for small and micro-satellites, thus democratizing access to space. They offer near-space test services and missions for high-altitude pseudo-high-altitude satellites.
  • Cesefor in Bioeconomy: Highlighting the ecological potential of the region. Cesefor is a technology-based foundation whose activity consists of research, design, development and commercialization of innovative solutions for the forestry sector, working to improve the forestry sector, through projects in innovation in order to promote the growth of the forest bioeconomy and the future of the rural environment.
  • GMV Innovating Solutions in Cybersecurity: Strengthening the digital frontier with cutting-edge solutions. GMV is a groundbreaking technology solutions company operating in several key sectors. It develops essential infrastructures for programs like Galileo and offers solutions in satellite navigation and space program operations. In the defense and security sector GMV is known for its surveillance, intelligence, navigation and cyberdefense systems, providing critical technology to government and defense organizations. In the field of intelligent transport systems GMV also offers integral solutions ranging from public transport planning and management to advanced ticketing and onboard security systems, facilitating more efficient and secure transport operations.
  • SIVI HealthCluster: Innovating in the health sector with impact solutions. It is an association that integrates public and private entities from various sectors to promote technological solutions in the field of active and healthy aging, mental health and independent living. Its multi-sectoral approach covers the entire innovation cycle, from conception to commercialization, ensuring comprehensive and practical solutions to improve quality of life.

Transfiere 2024 not only serves as a showcase for the innovative capacity of Castilla y León, but also as a meeting point to foster dialogue and collaboration, crucial elements to enrich our innovation ecosystem. Through this forum, Castilla y León positions itself as a leader in knowledge transfer, highlighting its commitment to a more innovative and technologically advanced future. This March 20, the Network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León (NODDO), together with the Junta de Castilla y León and the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE), will be present at the center of European innovation, Transfiere, European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation in Malaga.
