Pablo Sabin, new president of NODDO

Pablo Sabín Galán, director of Cesefor, takes over from José María Vela, director of ITCL, after finishing his three-year term as president of NODDO.

The Director of Cesefor, Pablo Sabín, has assumed the Presidency of the Network of Technological Centers of Castilla y León, NODDO, for a three-year term, a period in which he is committed to continue working on the promotion of technological innovation with an impact on the competitiveness of companies, sustainability and the welfare of society, facing the current economic and social challenges.

Pablo Sabín replaces José María Vela, who has been president of NODDO since 2021 and who has completed his term as president this year, as provided for in the Association’s bylaws.

During these three years, NODDO has started its trajectory and has consolidated itself as a Network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León, with a total of 60 million in revenues in 2023 with more than 650 R&D&I projects per year, a team of more than 820 professionals from the Technology Centers and more than 2,000 client companies in three years from all types of sectors.

His leadership has been essential to boost innovation and technology transfer between the nine Technology Centers of Castilla y León and the rest of the innovation ecosystem, strengthening collaboration and business competitiveness.

Biography of Pablo Sabín

Forestry Engineer by the UPM. Since 2018 CEO at Cesefor. Passionate about forest management, he is promoter of the Spanish network of forest management close to nature. Expert in consulting on studies and projects related to forests covering different areas of knowledge, especially forests and climate change, timber market, and new business models for the forestry sector.

As an expert in forest management and forestry, he founded the consulting firm Agresta S.Coop. and the industrialized timber housing company Mabitat S.L.

NODDO, technology and collaboration for an innovative future

NODDO, the Network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León, was founded in 2021 to connect and strengthen the nine technology centers in the region: AIR, CARTIF, CESEFOR, CETECE, CIDAUT, CTME, ICAMCYL, ITAGRA and ITCL. This network has consolidated itself as the main integrating agent in research, development and innovation (R&D&I) at regional level.

Its mission is to act as a catalyst for innovation, promoting technological solutions that address the current challenges of companies and society, thus improving business competitiveness through cooperation and technology transfer. With more than 820 people dedicated to innovation, 650 R&D&I projects, more than 2000 client companies in three years and 60 million euros in revenues in 2023, NODDO and the technology centers of Castilla y León are positioned as a leader in technological innovation.

The purpose of NODDO is to facilitate collaboration between the technology centers of Castilla y León, adding individual capabilities to face joint challenges effectively. By connecting advanced technological resources with the needs of the sector, NODDO accelerates the development and promotion of innovative solutions.

Through its three pillars – being the nexus of collaboration, the message of innovation and the solution to technological challenges – the network seeks to raise the value that the centers can offer both companies and society, consolidating itself as a key player in the technological innovation ecosystem of Castilla y León.
