NODDO Technology Centers develop projects, initiatives, activities and conferences related to Quantum Science and Technology that have a transversal impact in multiple areas.

April 14 is World Quantum Day, a key date to reflect on the importance of this discipline and its applications in our society.
In 2025, this celebration takes on special relevance as it has been declared the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, a unique opportunity to highlight the advances and benefits that this technology brings to the world.
NODDO’s Technology Centers play a fundamental role in the development, research and application of quantum in strategic sectors. Through various projects and activities, the Centers contribute decisively to the transfer of technology and knowledge to the business community and society in general.
Quantum Science and Technology have a cross-cutting impact in multiple areas and sectors, from computing to cryptography, through the improvement of sensors, telecommunications and new materials. The associated NODDO Centers, a network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León, work on cutting-edge initiatives that allow companies to innovate and improve their competitiveness, ensuring that scientific research is transformed into tangible solutions for the challenges of the future.
Quantum Revolutionntics: the role of Technology Centers in the future of computing.
In this sense, the celebration of the World Quantum Day in the framework of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology represents an excellent opportunity to highlight the work of the Technology Centers. Their work contributes to the advancement of knowledge, the training of specialized talent and the creation of synergies between public research and the productive sector, such as:
- ITCL Technology Center: It is developing the QuantumCrip project – Research on the ambivalence of quantum computing to solve post-quantum optimization and encryption problems. The QuantumCrip project investigates algorithms and applications of quantum computing in both computers and quantum simulators.
- AIR InstituteAIR Institute : drives the Quantum Shielda project focused on post-quantum security and quantum machine learning for the cybersecurity of smart manufacturing environments in Industry 4.0. Quantum Shield emerges as the pioneering solution to protect smart manufacturing environments against the most advanced threats.
This innovative project combines the best of post-quantum cryptography, quantum key distribution and quantum machine learning (QML) to address the challenges of the quantum era and generative artificial intelligence.
Develop tools that not only prevent quantum attacks, but also identify and effectively respond to distributed threats such as traditional and AI-optimized DDoS attacks. Quantum Shield is aligned with Castilla y León’ s RIS3 strategy and Priority 3: smart manufacturing and cybersecurity, ensuring that companies in the region are prepared to face the challenges of the future with cutting-edge technologies.
With initiatives, actions or technological developments such as these, the company reinforces its commitment to Innovation and Science, positioning itself as a benchmark in the field of quantum technology and ensuring that the benefits of these developments reach society as a whole.
NODDO promotes the connection between science, technology and business, highlighting the transforming role of Technology Centers in key sectors for economic and social development. If you want to know more projects linked to emerging technologies such as quantum, you can visit the Sectors area.
