Network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León: Boosting business competitiveness through innovation

The Network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León – NODDO – helps technological transformation and business development in the region with a clear mission: To boost the competitiveness of companies through applied innovation and technology transfer.

In an economic environment where the ability to adapt is critical, companies in Castilla y León have a strategic resource of great value: the Network of Technology Centers. This network acts as a catalyst for cooperation and technology transfer. Made up of the 9 Technology Centers of Castilla y León, and with the support of the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICECYL), the Network offers innovative solutions that help companies to be more competitive, sustainable and prepared to face current challenges.

What is a technology center?

Sometimes confused with public research centers or universities, a technology center is a private, non-profit entity dedicated to promoting innovation and facilitating technology transfer to industry. Aiming to be the strategic partner, they help to boost business competitiveness through innovation, through solutions tailored to the specific needs of each sector and company, small or large.

Technological infrastructure for regional competitiveness

The Network of Technology Centers of Castilla y León has a solid infrastructure, consisting of 9 technology centers – AIR Institute, CARTIF, Cesefor, CETECE, CIDAUT, CTME, ICAMCyL, Itagra and ITCL-, and more than 850 specialized professionals to serve the main sectors and needs of companies in Castilla y León: from the agri-food industry to automotive, energy, habitat, digitization or sustainability. They offer cutting-edge infrastructures, specialized talent, advanced laboratories, pilot plants and high-tech equipment, relying on an interdisciplinary approach that allows them to address the most complex challenges of the current competitive scenario.

Boosting competitiveness through collaboration

NODDO integrates the region’s technology centers to jointly offer companies comprehensive support in innovation and knowledge and technology transfer, tailored to their needs. Knowledgeable about technologies and lines of support for innovation at regional, national and European levels, they provide companies -from startups to large corporations- with access to advanced technological knowledge and state-of-the-art resources, at regional, national and international levels, to improve their products, processes and services.

The Network collaborates closely with other actors in the regional innovation ecosystem, including universities, clusters and especially the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICECYL), as an essential support for the network of centers, with whom it shares a commitment to business competitiveness and sustainable development through innovation. This synergy ensures that all companies, regardless of their size or sector, can benefit from technological innovation.
