NODDO connects Castilla y León's technological capabilities with meetechSpain 2026

Spanish technological innovation will once again be on display at meetechSpain 2026, an event taking place on October 14 and 15 at UZalacaín–La Finca in Madrid, which will bring together approximately 60 technology centers, more than 80 organizations, and 40 speakers involved in applied research, industry, and technology transfer.

NODDO, the association of Technology Centers in Castile and León, will participate in this year’s event, strengthening the connection between Castile and León’s technological capabilities and companies, institutions, technology centers, and other stakeholders in the national innovation ecosystem.

The event will also be attended by professionals from some of the technology centers affiliated with NODDO, fostering networking, the exchange of knowledge, and the identification of potential opportunities for collaboration.

The event thus provides a new platform to highlight the technological potential that exists in Castile and León and to continue fostering connections around innovation and knowledge transfer.

Technology developed here to meet the challenges of the future

Under the slogan “Made in Spain, Suitable for Other Worlds, ” the fourth edition of meetechSpain explores one of the most challenging technological scenarios imaginable: habitability beyond Earth.

The goal extends far beyond the realm of space. This challenge serves as a starting point for analyzing how technologies currently under research and development can address not only extreme situations but also industrial, environmental, and social problems on our planet.

Energy and storage, new materials, food, water and air management, biotechnology, health, robotics, mobility, logistics, communications, artificial intelligence, deep tech, dual-use technologies, and technological autonomy will be part of a highly multidisciplinary discussion.

Many of these areas are related to the scientific and technological capabilities developed by the centers associated with NODDO and their application to the challenges of competitiveness and innovation faced by companies.

Áureo Díaz-Carrasco, CEO of Fedit, summarizes this role by noting that “Technology Centers operate precisely at that intersection between the needs of the present and the technologies that prepare us for the future.”

A vision that aligns with the work carried out by the technology centers associated with NODDO, translating research and specialized knowledge into solutions applicable to the business community.

Technological Cooperation and Knowledge Transfer

meetechSpain is designed to foster interaction among different disciplines, technology centers, companies, and innovation stakeholders.

Its program is structured around five main areas that combine strategic reflection, technology demonstrations, collaborative problem-solving, and the creation of new opportunities for cooperation.

The Strategic Forum will address major technological trends and issues related to competitiveness, technological autonomy, industrial policy, and investment in R&D&I.

The Tech&Touch area will provide a first-hand look at demonstrations, prototypes, and technological solutions developed by various technology centers, bringing applied research closer to potential user companies.

For its part, the Technology Challenge will once again highlight the ability of specialists from different disciplines to collaborate. In this edition, GMV will be the company responsible for setting the business challenge that multidisciplinary teams of researchers and technologists will have to address.

The Innovation Club and the various networking opportunities will round out a program designed to facilitate direct contact between companies, research centers, and technology specialists, and to help ensure that these connections can later lead to new projects and collaborations.

A Nationwide Ecosystem Centered on Innovation

The event will also feature broad representation from institutions and the business community.

Among the main sources of support are the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) and the Community of Madrid, along with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) and the Spanish Aerospace Technology Platform.

The Spanish Space Agency will also play a prominent role in this edition, alongside companies and organizations such as GMV, Airbus, Naturgy, Lanzo Batteries, Hispansion, and IENAI Space, among other entities linked to strategic technology sectors.

In addition to these, there is a broad range of partner organizations from the fields of industry, biotechnology, research, knowledge transfer, and technology platforms.

This diversity makes meetechSpain a space for connecting skills with business needs and fostering relationships among professionals working in different sectors and disciplines.

NODDO to Exhibit at meetechSpain 2026

For NODDO, participating in meetechSpain allows NODDO to continue bringing the technological capabilities available in Castile and León to new collaborative settings and to strengthen relationships with other players in the national innovation ecosystem.

The participation of representatives from some of its partner technology centers will also facilitate the sharing of knowledge and the establishment of contacts in fields related to digital transformation, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, agri-food, energy, materials, mobility, sustainability, biotechnology, and health.

At NODDO, we work specifically to connect capabilities, facilitate cooperation, and promote technology transfer, fostering new opportunities for technology centers and for companies that need to incorporate innovation into their processes, products, and services.

meetechSpain 2026 once again offers a meeting place to share knowledge, connect different fields of expertise, and explore new opportunities for technological cooperation.
